The Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) is a direct-debit system providing a professional, effective donation management system for funding our mission and ministry. It helps you with inflationary giving, overcoming the static nature of cash and standing order, and offers greater flexibility with regards to managing your giving. It helps us too by increased cash flow through faster recovery of Gift Aid, enabling us to be able to honour our commitments more effectively. More information can be found here.
Standing
Orders are a simple yet effective way to give. You can easily create a Standing Order
or amend an existing one by logging on to your online bank account, or
contacting your bank, and following the Standing Order instructions. You can make a payment whenever you wish, tell your bank how
much money to pay and when and cancel the Standing Order whenever you
wish. If you are able to
give by regular Standing Order it enables us to plan better for the future.
Electronic Giving we now have a Payaz machine situated to the right as you enter the church which allows you to make contactless cards by card or 'phone and even Gift Aid your donation at the same time.
One
Off Cheque/Cash Donations There is a small wall safe by the Payaz machine to the right as you enter the church where cheque or cash donations may be made. Alternatively, you can post cheques, made payable to
Mickleham Church PCC, to the Treasurer c/o The Rectory, Old London Road,
Mickleham, Surrey RH5 6EB.
Have
you made a will? We are encouraged to plan our giving
after our death as much as during our life, and one option is to leave a Legacy or Shares to the Church.
A legacy is a practical way of thanking God for His blessings during our lives,
and such a gift can help to secure the work of the Church for future
generations. Please note that gifts
made to the Church and other charities are exempt from Inheritance Tax and are
deducted from the value of an estate before Inheritance Tax liability is calculated.
For details of how to leave a gift to the church in your will or how to
donate shares to the Parish, please contact your solicitor or financial adviser.
