Children and Families

We seek to encourage and enable children and young people to develop their own Christian faith. It is our desire to support parents and families as they learn about God, so that they can build their own confidence to express the gift God has given to each one of them, and to be better equipped to address the challenges that life brings.

Young children are always welcome and we seek to make this an attractive place to come where they can have fun, in addition to learning about God. We pray children, students and young families will experience a sense of love and community here, as we grow more and more in our Christian discipleship.

We also have Messy Church meetings for parents/guardians and little ones in the Village Hall.  Please click on the link to read more.

We are blessed to have two wonderful school communities within walking distance of the Parish Church.

St. Michael’s C of E (A) Infant School (for the school website click here)  are very involved through monthly assemblies and special services in church, and regular assemblies in the school are led by Sandra, our parish priest.

In addition there are three Workshops held at the school each year, on Mothering Sunday, Harvest Festival and Christingle. These are great fun with many craft and other activities, as well as wonderful refreshments, before everyone walks across to the church for a special Family Service at 11am.

Box Hill is an independent co-educational boarding and day school (for the school website click here) which joins us for services in church. They also use the church for various concerts and recitals.

children 3The monthly Family Services are a helpful way to grow in faith as the use of multi-media enhances the gospel presentations. With an informal yet structured approach, the Family Service is enjoyed by all ages, and is followed with refreshments and the opportunity to catch up with others.
