Jesus said, “And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask Me for anything in My name, and I will do it."
Prayer underpins everything we do here in the parish. We pray because we understand prayer to be a form of service to God which He commands of us, which we delight in obeying, and which is something
that every one of us is qualified to do!
When we pray we find our relationship with God develops, and brings us the blessing of a closer walk with Him, a peace of mind that can only come through that relationship, the guidance of the Holy Spirit in all aspects of our lives, and healing of body, mind and spirit. God intends prayer to be the means of obtaining His solutions to many of the circumstances and situations we find in the challenges of everyday life, so we humble ourselves before Him and pray for Him to bless us with anything that He wishes to give us. We find too that prayer gives us the strength to face and overcome temptation, to strengthen us spiritually and as a means of God’s will being done on earth as it is in Heaven, so it is easy for us to continue to realize the importance of prayer and to seek to ensure prayer underpins everything we do.
